Fort De La Chartreuse: Belgium Sept 2014
Built by the dutch between 1817 and 1823.
Predominately a brick built site it has had varying uses in its time. The Germans used it as a prison and it was later used as a military hospital by the US. It was last used by the Belgian army in 1988.
Strangely I wasn't meant to go here, I pressed the wrong button on the Sat Nav. This is certainly no large metal factory. It was a hot day so the shirt was off bag left in the car and just wandered around with the tripod. A nice chilled afternoon
