Royal Connaught Park Bushey: UK January 2015

Originally known as the Royal Masonic School For Boys. An abandoned school which has been under redevelopment for a number of years now.

After my heart breaking visit to the chapel here, I thought I would have a wander round and look at the new swanky flats and houses. I noticed a sign to the marketing suite and the door was open. Well why not take a look I thought. I was greeted with the view you see below. I had seen an old image of these stairs before and always wandered where they were. Well now I knew.

I quickly got out the camera and started shooting. I could hear voices from the marketing suite and I believe this is the entrance hall to some of the flats. So I knew I wouldn't have long.

I managed to cover the whole of the entrance and was back out the door unseen.

So I never got to see the chapel in all its glory again but I did finally see the stairs that had bugged me for some time.
